In this article, we'll discuss why your calorie intake may be too high or too low.
Firstly, you need to understand that multiple factors are taken into consideration when you're calorie intake is calculated. These factors include your height, weight, age, gender, and most importantly, your daily activity level. You then add or subtract "x" amount of calories depending on what your goal is at the time (cutting or bulking).
Remember your calorie intake will be accurate based on the statistical information (height, weight, age, gender, daily activity level, goal) you entered as part of the initial sign-up questionnaire. If you've made a mistake submitting the information above, then that is why your calorie intake may be wrong. If your height, weight, or age are slightly off, this will likely not impact your calorie intake to the point that it is worth revising your entire meal plan. It's most commonly the daily activity level or goal that result in calorie discrepancies.
What can I do if my calorie intake is too high?
Your calories will likely be high due to an incorrectly over-estimated daily activity level, or because you have accidentally submitted the wrong goal. It could also be down to the fact that you have been following a past diet that is lower in calories (rightly or wrongly). Either way, you will need to send an email to
support@josefrakichfitness.com so that one of the JRF team can check.
What can I do if my calorie intake is too low?
Again, your calories will likely be low due to an incorrectly under-estimated daily activity level, or because you have accidentally submitted the wrong goal. It could also be down to the fact that you have been following a calorie intake that is too high, and the JRF calorie intake proposed is too much of an initial deficit. Regardless of what it might be, please send an email to
support@josefrakichfitness.com so that one of the team can check you're on the right track.
